OBGYN

Advocating for women to take better care of their minds and bodies. New practice goals are to supplement the traditional obstetrical care model and integrate all the amazing resources I'm learning about here in Charlotte, outside of the hospital owned environment. I read about and loved the idea of creating a "postpartum plan" just like many women create registries for the baby's needs or a "birth plan" for the actual delivery. Many women forget about (or don't know) all the other months/years that they need to care about themselves, and much too easily fall by the wayside. I hope to teach women this!

Hope Feeds Families

Lactation, Pediatric Nutrition

At Hope Feeds Babies, our goal is to provide all people with support in feeding their families in a way that promotes health, development, and bonding. What that means: no judgement, no pressure, just support. We put the expectations aside. We meet you where you are, help you to troubleshoot issues that you are dealing with, and create a customized care plan that fits your needs. Will this make feeding your child easier? Well, if we are doing our job correctly, it should! The support we offer begins with breastfeeding and extends throughout your child’s formative years. The International Board Certified Lactation Consultants (IBCLCs) can help with breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, formula feeding, milk supply, weaning, and much more. The licensed Registered Dietitian Nutritionist’s (RDNs) can help you eat healthfully during pregnancy, introduce solids, get through those rough food jags, support postpartum weight loss and food relationships, and support healthy relationships with food for the whole family. Whatever nutrition issues your family is struggling with - we can help.

Women, Perinatal Mental Health, Parenting

I am dedicated to working with women and their families to help achieve a successful pregnancy, transition into parenthood and beyond. The well being of the parents is so important during this phase of life and there is no such thing as too much support. I work with couple on pre-planning and navigating the post baby world. I also work individually with women who are working towards pregnancy, currently pregnant and new mommas. I am certified in Perinatal Mental Health and believe that we can all feel well and accomplished as parents with support and encouragement. Being a new parent is hard work and the more we can prepare and support each other the easier it can be.

Center for Loss in Multiple Birth, Inc.

We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Anchorage, Alaska, serving families and others throughout the United States, Canada, and beyond. Our mission is, and always has been, to provide parent-to-parent support for all of us who have experienced the death of one or more of our twins or higher multiple birth children at any time from conception through birth, infancy, and early childhood. It is also to assist extended families, caregivers, twins and multiples organizations, and others who are seeking to understand and support the needs of parents with loss in multiple birth. While it is not officially in our mission, we have come to believe in the importance of more education of the public on the risks and realities of multiple births, and how often they include tragedy and grief – and the importance of prevention of multiple birth loss.
