Willow Family Chiropractic

7046590189

Perinatal and pediatric chiropractic

At Willow Family Chiropractic we want to empower women in any stage of their journey to trust their body and to advocate for them when needed. We work with and support women through their fertility journeys, through their pregnancy, through birth and labor if needed, and through their breastfeeding and postpartum journey. We understand that each of these stages look different for every woman and the type of support and care we provide should be unique to that individual and her family. We provide nervous system based chiropractic care that looks at your body as whole and allows your body to regulate and function the best it can. We also provide nutritional and home exercise recommendations when needed but also work with a group of trusted providers that can go deeper in those areas if need be. Once baby is born we work with mom and baby together because we understand that there is a connection between mom and baby that is sacred. Taking care of mom’s nervous system and baby's nervous system at the same time allows for a greater connection and easier development and adaption to this new world for baby and more ease, comfort, and hormonal regulation for mom.

Pelvic Health

As a pelvic physical therapist, I have the dream that every women who is pregnant or has delivered a baby would be able to see a pelvic physical therapist at least once! I want women to know there is someone to walk alongside them in the journey. Along this journey we can talk about the ways the body will change and how to take care of it before, during and after pregnancy. We can work together to ensure safe exercise, postural awareness, and perineal care. Post partum care is essential and I'm here to partner with women who may be having urinary incontinence, pain, or difficulty returning to exercise!

GROW PT

704-806-1542

Sports and Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy

I've always identified as a sports/ortho PT, until I realized how little I knew to help pregnant and postpartum patients. My passion is providing guidance during pregnancy and into the fourth trimester, especially in relation to fitness and movement. I am trained to perform internal and external assessments of the pelvic floor, but focus more on applying that information to the big picture: posture, hip strength, movement, breath mechanics, and more. Women leave our sessions feeling confident in how to stay moving safely during pregnancy, and return to exercise postpartum without dysfunction.

Wild & Wise Counseling

trauma, birth trauma, sexual assault survivors, somatic / body-centered therapy

We are an action-based experiential therapist group that combines talk therapy with somatic practices to help women regulate their nervous system and ditch that overwhelmed feeling. We specialize in supporting women in all stages of their perinatal journey through planning, trying, pregnancy, and postpartum. We are a client-centered, anti-racist, LQBTQ+ affirming, and trans-affirming, practice that believes our society has benefitted from women feeling disconnected to their bodies. We help women process trauma, reparent themselves, navigate parenting, and build a relationship with their body. With training in sensorimotor psychotherapy (body-centered), EDMR, Kunadlini yoga, TF-CBT, and more we work with clients to decide which tools would best serve them. We offer student rates and sliding scale.
