Katherine "Kate" Caton, LCSW
Out of the Woods Therapy
perinatal , parenting, infertility
I help new parents acknowledge and honor the roller coaster of emotions that comes with these big changes. I collaborate with parents to build coping skills and engage in moments of self-care that are accessible and achievable for folks in the nitty gritty of babyhood.I can relate to the myriad of emotional, physical and medical challenges of infertility. My own journey to parenthood was longer than I anticipated or planned for. The physical toll and sometimes the financial toll can be heavy. I help clients explore all the challenges they are experiencing (physical stress and oftentimes, financial stress) and how it is impacting their emotional and mental well-being. I help my clients navigate the stuff parenting brings up for them, as a parent myself and a therapist to parents. Many of us are looking to parent differently than we were parented. But without a community supporting us, we’re struggling and isolated.I have the privilege of helping my clients feel more regulated, more competent, & more ready for what comes next.

Equipt Women's Health and Wellness, LLC
7042283094
Women's Health, Perinatal and Postpartum Physical Therapy
Whether your symptoms arise from pregnancy, postpartum, injury or aging, nothing about health and wellness is straightforward or universal. Every experience is UNIQUE.
My mission is to “equipt” clients with the resources needed to heal - mentally, socially, physically + emotionally. I strive to provide women dealing with pregnancy, postpartum, injury or aging the space to be open and vulnerable to begin their personal + unique journey to wellness.
Where it began: In pursuit of my passion for health and wellness as a collegiate swimmer at Clemson, I became fascinated with the human body and the healing benefits of movement. My dedication to physical therapy for women deepened while acquiring my Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) at Duke University. After years of practicing orthopedic PT in a private sports clinic, I developed a female collegiate athlete program which evolved into caring for patients through pregnancy and into the post partum period. I have a passion for working with women of all ages throughout physiological phases of life (e.g. adolescence, pregnancy, postpartum, menopause) to achieve pain relief, serenity in their current life season, and confidence through exercise, movement, and rehabilitation. Rooted in my fitness background and specialty in women's health therapy, I find joy in educating patients and helping them achieve their health and wellness goals safely.
