Mind Body Baby proudly announces the appointment of Jasmine Mix as its new Executive Director, ushering in a bold chapter of innovation, equity, and transformational impact for families across the region.


A dynamic and results-driven leader, Jasmine Mix brings over 15 years of executive experience spanning education, nonprofit leadership, and strategic community development. Renowned for her visionary approach and ability to drive systemic change, Jasmine has led initiatives that have expanded program reach, enhanced operational efficiency, and advanced equity-centered health and education outcomes.


Prior to joining Mind Body Baby, Jasmine served as Regional Associate Director at YWCA Central Carolinas, where she designed and implemented groundbreaking literacy advocacy and youth development initiatives. As the Founder and CEO of Books With Barbers, she built a nationally recognized literacy model that harnesses community assets to promote educational equity, demonstrating her unique capacity to turn bold ideas into sustainable, high-impact realities.


Since joining Mind Body Baby, Jasmine has rapidly advanced organizational growth, expanded perinatal mental health support services and increased annual funding through strategic donor engagement and partnership cultivation. Her leadership philosophy centers on data-driven decision-making, inclusive strategy, and unwavering commitment to elevating the voices and needs of underserved communities.


Jasmine holds a Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction and a Bachelor of Arts in both Elementary Education and English from North Carolina A&T State University. She is a Certified Business Strategist and Certified Diversity Professional, and has been recognized for her expertise in strategic planning, operational excellence, and equitable program development. She was recognized as a Top 40 Under 40 honoree by Black Pages USA, received the Bookert Agency Dream Chaser Award, and was honored with a proclamation by the City of Columbia, SC, declaring October 25 as Books with Barbers Day in recognition of her impact on youth literacy and community empowerment.
